dereferencing problem

Hi

how can I dereference the object as showing below?

mytype{
vector<doublena mes;
public:
mytype(){}
};

class arrangem{
public:
arrangem(vector <mytype*>){.. .}
how can I find out here about the size of
vector<doublena mes for say typ1

};

int main() {
mytype typ1, typ2;

vector<mytype*c ollection;
collection.push _back(&typ1);
collection.push _back(&typ2);

arrangem job1(collection );
}

thanks

Hello,

IMHO, the same way you you extract variable count here.

class A {
int count;
public:
inline int GetCount() { return count; }
};

class B {
A a;
};

class C {
B b;
};

int main () {
C c; // how do you extract count here??? May be a get method, friend
class something!!
}

Hi what do you think of the following? Why are we permitted to do that? And why the C++ Library doesn't stop someone willing to perfom that assignement (*a = 20)? #include <iostream> using std::cout;

Does the C++ standard define what should happen in case of NULL pointer dereferencing. If not, does it say that it is illegal? Where, if so, does it say it?

I have some functions which take as i/p a buffer (it can be float, char, or 16 bit, int etc.). The result is another o/p buffer, its type is also flexible (it could be a float, char etc.). I try to pass both as "void *buf" so that it can accept any data type. But since I access the buffer and try to assign its elements to another I get compile errors (I have pasted at the end). Now my question is how can I pass the i/p and o/p buffers...

Hi, How would I handle Dereferencing in vb.Net 2003. Something like: Dim txt As TextBox = DirectCast("txt" & someStringVariable, TextBox) This sadly won't work because a type of string cannot be casted to a textbox. The "txt" + someStringVariable concatenation would represent a valid name of a textbox on the form.

I have a program for which this line: if(! lstrtol(&atoken,length-2,(long *) &(lclparams->pad)) || (lclparams->pad< 0)){ generates the warning below, but ONLY if the gcc compiler is at -O2 or -O3. I don't see any reason why optimization should change things much in this piece of code - there's no way to optimize it out and I have verified that this particular line does what it should no matter how the program is compiled. Anyway,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
