I'm caching data in the Application object to speed up certain pages on a website
The main reason is that the retrieval of this data takes quite a while (a few seconds) and fetching the same data from the "cache" hardly takes any time
A basic pattern used to get the data from disk, or from cache is this

I have written numerous functions that check all user entered data on my
site via POST and GET. My question is this: once my data checks out as
being valid, I sometimes store it in SESSION as I move between pages,
and eventually use the values in SESSION to update my database. Do I
need to re-check the values in SESSION to make sure they are still valid

In a recent thread there has been discussion about Data Access Pages. It
has been suggested that they are not permitted on many or most secure sites.
Perhaps, that it is so, although I know of no site that has this
prohibition, and I have uploaded DAPs to various sites and used them
from those sites.
I do not understand why any site manager would prohibit DAPs. To the

I am trying to build a few pages basically emulating a wizard that you
might find in a Windows product. A few fields to fill out on one page,
move to the next, then the next. Finally, at the end, submit the data
from all the pages and save it all to a database or send it via email.
What is the best way to hold this data so that it there at the end for
posting to the database or email?

page is being populated with data. Now, on page load of the second page, I
would like to send the grid data on this page to the first page and populate
the grid on the first page with the same data on second page. Please let me

We are connecting to sql server database in the webservices & retrieve the
data
as dataset from the webservices and load it to the aspx pages ,But we find
loading of the aspx pages takes longer time than the pages that retrieve data
directly using cs files.Is it good practise to use the data retrieval in web
services.
Can some help me in this issue.
