Hi to all,
I've this problem:
I create a datagram socket. I create datagram socket with function
'Create'. The line of my code when I create is:
m_pSocket->Create(port,SO CK_DGRAM,FD_REA D | FD_WRITE | FD_OOB |
FD_ACCEPT | FD_CONNECT | FD_CLOSE,strAdd ress);
Now when I send, I' ve error in runtime at this line:
m_pSocket->SendTo(Respons e,dwSize,porttx ,ipAddress);
the error is 'svchost: sink socket notification'. Where I make an
error??I can't find it!! 4 2791

It's at line 42 of what ever m_pSocket is.
No one here is psychic, what is m_pSocket?

So? What's one of those when it's at home?

It's my understanding of UDP sockets that if there is a thread blocked on a
"recvFrom()" call and other thread sends a UDP packet to some address, that
if the machine on the other end isn't up, that the "recvFrom()" call should
just continue blocking. Right?
What I'm seeing is that when I send a packet to a particular address that is
not responding, my "recvFrom()" call throws an exception. I get "An
existing connection was forcibly...

Hello,
Does anyone know how to get the maximum size of a datagram for a UDP Socket
created via .NET's System.Net.Sockets.Socket class?
Thanks!

hi experts,
I need a little help in debugging this code.. would u
pleeze kindly help me?
here this program sends a datagram every 10 seconds and on reception it
cheks whether the source IP is already written in file or not.. if it
is not already entered into the file then a file is opened and that IP
is entered.
the problem is with this part..
if the filewrite() function is tested independently it is
working but in this program...

I'm trying to understand datagrams. My client program sends a message
to the server, and then the server infinitely loops over the recv() to
make sure all the data was received. I'm trying to use an * to signal
the end of the message, so that the server can break out of the
infinite while loop used to check the recv(). However, my server
repeatedly outputs the client message over and over again. Can anyone
tell me why?
When I start...

Hi guys,
I am struggling writing fast UDP server. It has to handle around 10000
UDP packets per second. I started building that with non blocking
socket and threads. Unfortunately my approach does not work at all.
I wrote a simple case test: client and server. The client sends 2200
packets within 0.137447118759 secs. The tcpdump received 2189 packets,
which is not bad at all.
But the server only handles 700 -- 870 packets, when it is...

I gave this a try on an AMD64 3200+ running a 32 bit Linux installation.
Here's the results I got on the server:

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
