Go away for a few days and you miss it all... A few opinions...
Programming is a craft more than an art (software engineering, not
black magic) and as such, is about writing code that works, first
and foremost. If it works well, even better. The same goes for
ease of maintenance, memory footprint, speed, etc, etc. Most of the
time, people are writing code for a use in the *real world*, and
not just as an academic exercise.

When I try to copy a project to our new web server I get this error:
An Error occurred while copying the project '.....'. Visual Studio .NET has
detected that the specified Web server is not running ASP.NET version 1.1.
You will be unable to run ASP.NET Web applications or services.
I went to run 'aspnet_regiis -i' on the server but 'aspnet_regiis' isn't on

I am (and have been trying!) to find a good way to do the following few
things:
1. When a user requests a .aspx/.htm/.html file, the file needs to be
automatically integrated into a page template. In ASP.NET, how can I do
this?
2. I know I can put custom controls, map .htm/.html files to utilize custom
controls, etc, but I don't want to go through and update 2000 pages (and
growing) to .aspx files and then add the controls.

In a nested subform in datasheet view, an interviewer of homeless
people picks a descriptive CATEGORY from 20 descriptive categories.
The 20 categories are displayed via a combo box.
(Categories are things like "addiction", "criminal", "dangerous?"
etc. Total number of categories = 20).

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
