I'm getting fatal errors when executing code - and my error handler is
failing to trap them - so I get no stack backtrace :-(
The error I am getting is:
"Fatal error: Call to a member function fetchRow() on a non-object."
What are the available options here?
Am I supposed to check I have a real object whenever I perform

I have a class with overloading operator new. (Because, if an identical object exists, return a pointer to existed object instead of
a new pointer)
It has no sense (it is dangerous) to allocate an object of that class in stack.
So, is there a trick to avoid stack creation of an object of this class?
I mean, to take compile-time error instead of runtime.
I want to create this class object only in heap.

I have a Control derived class. When the parent of the control changes the
control's Location property, the stack overflows. I have not found a way to
find out what was on the stack when it does overflow. All I know is that
the program is either stopped due to an exception at the end of Main or has
exited after the Stack Overflow exception. (Both cases are Debug builds
running in the debugger.)

i have a self written c++-class that is used in many projects from many
programmers.
The functionality of this class requests, for some reasons, that any
instance (object) of this special class MUST be created in the heap with the
new-operator. Any instance created locally on the stack should be considered
"illegal".

I understand that the standard does not mandate "heap" or "stack"

We have a stack overflow happening. We are NOT doing any recusion. We do have an object being created in Global that is being handed the Context (which I assume is specific to the request thread). This object does in turn does create several other objects, but therer is no memberwise cloning or deep copies. So, we are at a loss why we are running out of stack so early.
Is there a way to monitor the stack size at runtime to see if we can...

Apparently there is a limit to how complex a single header file with a huge
class definition in it can be. The source to one of my header files is at a
point that it compiles and runs fine, until I add one more line to it, and I
then get this compiler error:
fatal error C1026: parser stack overflow, program too complex

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
