Creating a Windows Account APIs

Hi all,

Recently I finished a project where I used LogonUser and
ImpersonateLogg edOnUser APIs to give the process an Administrator
priviliges to let it read Physical Memory regardless the user use this
process is admin or not, anyway, I test the code and it works fine when
I give LogonUser and administrator username and password as parameters.

Now I am writting the Installer for this project, and I need to know if
there is a way to create a windows user account from the Installer, or
if I can use another way in my project to use ImpersonateLogg edOnUser
API with out knowing an administrator user name and password.

NOTE: the Installer must be run as admininstrator.

NOTE: the Installer is written using C++, the project using C.

Thanks in Advance,
Razi

Hi; My ASP.NET app (C# calling J# under .net 2.0) creates a png file in a subdirectory to display as part of the created page. However, the bitmap will not display due to a security violation. Everything is the default settings I believe. IIS is running under Local System. In IIS the DefaultAppPool is running under Network Service. Annonymous access uses the account IUSR_JASMINE (machine name is Jasmine).

Hi, The Qt toolkit claims to be completely written in C++. What I would like to know is how do I draw a window with a button (or any widget for that matter) using C++, without using the Qt library? i.e. do I need to use some specific C++ library for such graphical programs? If so, which one and where can I get more information about it? Or does one have to link with the OS-specific APIs for the same? I presume it would be a taxing...

Hey all, I am looking for a method to have an ASP.net page perform remote configuration of an embedded windows device..things like configuring TCP/IP info, domain participation, computer name, proxy info, etc. My intent was to have this device host an ASP page in IIS that would make this possible by calling windows APIs... First off, does this seem like a viable approach? And if so would one of you

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
