hi all,
i'm new to python and i'm trying to build a python extension on win98,
written in c++, with cygwin.
but i keep having the same error message, and i didnt't find much
resources on the web about it:

Hello all,
I would like to debug my python libraries, written in c++, with GDB
(gnu debugger)
I'm using the mingw compiler in a windows environment. As development
environment I use eclipse with the CDT plugin. This plugin also has a
nice GUI frontend for the GDB.
I've already tried several setups, no setup seemed to work.

I am taking introductory C++ in college, and we use MS Visual C++ in
class. :-(
I want to be independent from Microsoft (or as independent as I can be
while developing on Windows!) Are there any good, easy-to-use GNU
compilers for windows? What do you recommend?

Hi
Ive written some C Maths programs to compute Bernoulli numbers and
Stirling numbers using the GMP library.
These have been compiled on a Knoppix/Debian PC using gcc.
I would like to port them to windows.
what is the best free C compiler for handling GMP on Windows ?
Ive heard people here mention MINGW . will that handle GMP ?

I have a lousy little Python extension, generated with the generous help
of Pyrex. In Linux, things are simple. I compile the extension, link it
against some C stuff, and *poof*! everything works.
My employer wants me to create a Windows version of my extension that
works with the vanilla Python 2.5 from python.org.
My employment contract states that I won't be required to run Windows, and
I desperately want to honor that clause....

I'm interested in experimenting with the TR1 functionality in g++ (per
http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/libstdc++/ext/tr1.html). My understanding
is that this is part of libstd++ only as of g++ 4. I'm currently using
a MinGW port that contains g++ 3.4.2, and there does not appear to be
any TR1 functionality in the version of libstdc++ that ships with that
release.

I've installed the CDT plugin for Eclipse and I want to use it to work
on C/C++ projects under Cygwin. It works, in fact it compiles and runs
the usual helloworld c++ program. Now it comes difficult when I try to

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
