Suddenly, none of my online data entry forms work anymore. On several sites, where once I had perfectly- working forms for the online admin of web page content (via Access database), now, when I try to add new content or modify current content, I get: Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3' Server.CreateObject Failed

Please forgive me if this is the wrong place to post this. The last place I posted got me a fairly rude response. I guess vb.db people just don't want to think about XML as database. At any rate, here is what I posted: I have downloaded the final production version of VS 2005 pro after testing with Team version. I wonder if I've been screwed or if it's just too early on a Sunday morning. It seems to me that it was relatively trivial to...

Everything I've tried suggests that, no, you can't use WSE 2.0 with a SOAP 1.2 service (or a client of a SOAP 1.2 service), but I haven't found a definitive statement to this effect. Can anyone say for sure? (Yes, I know that WSE 3.0 does work here, but not all of my customers will want to go through that upgrade.)

Sorry if this is off-topic but I can't find a better MSFT-managed newsgroup for the question. I'm looking for contact info for Microsoft's campus rep for the University of Washington in Seattle. This isn't specifically "academic alliance"-related. The most appropriate person would be a rep in charge of sales or who was a general liason between the company and the University. I'm a .NET developer/systems adminstrator working out of the...

Dear all have a msdn subsciption and was wondering if I can post a Silverlight question here. I was wondering if Silverlight gives webcam support like flash does this. With this, it is possible to make conferencing solutions. As far as I read in ohter posts Silverlight 2 is not able to do this unless you use a McGyver style (http://jonas.follesoe.no/PermaLink,guid,7f8857dc-5f37-4a8a-bd35-fd4b624af45b.aspx).

<!-- When deploying the service library project, the content of the config file must be added to the host's app.config file. System.Configuration does not support config files for libraries. --> I assume "libraries" here to mean DLL's. If that's the case, is there any way to supply both ends of a service (client and host) with the code for the class that describes the contact WITHOUT a duplication in source code? Thanks.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
