Hi,

How can I create a list of list in STL?
I try list < list <A*> >, but that does not work, I get compiler
errors.

Sorry. My mistake.

When I do this:
A a1;
list<A> alist;
alist.push_back (a1);

does that mean I put a Copy of 'a1' to the list, alist?

So if I do this:

list < list <A> > alistOfList;

alistOfList.pus h_back(alist);

I put a copy of 'alist' to the alistOfList?

Yes.

What book on C++ are you reading that you have to ask such basic
questions?

Hi, I'm sure this is a common problem.. to create a single field from a whole column, where each row would be separated by a comma. I can do this for a specified table, and column.. and I've created a function using VBA to achieve a more dynamic (and very slow) solution.. so I would like to implement it using a user defined function in sql server. The problems I'm facing are, that I can't use dynamic sql in a

I've seen plenty of articles on this topic but none of them have been able to solve my problem. I am working with an Access 97 database on an NT4.0 machine, which has many Access reports. I want my users to be able to select a report, click on a command button on a form, which will then automatically create the report as a pdf file and save it to the user's machine. I am using Adobe Acrobat (5.0 I think) and have Adobe Distiller as a

This is a restatement of an earlier post that evidently wasn't clear. I am building a custom MessageBox dialog that has, among other things, a few new button options (yes to all, no to all, etc.) and would like to make the dialog look and act like the standard MessageBox. Therefore, I would like to put in the message section the same type of icons found in the MessageBox dialog, such as MessageBoxIcon.Exclamation. In another post here I had...

Hello, I want to simulate the dynamic thumbnail display of Windows Explorer (winxp) on a form or pannel container. If I place a picture box on my container form/pannel and dimension it to the size of a thumbnail and set the sizemode to Stretch -- I get one thumbnail. I want to retrieve all the picture files (jpg, bmp) in a directory into an array list and then display this list as thumbnails on my form dynamically. So my question is...

Is it possible? Bestcrypt can supposedly be set up on linux, but it seems to need changes to the kernel before it can be installed, and I have no intention of going through whatever hell that would cause. If I could create a large file that could be encrypted, and maybe add files to it by appending them and putting in some kind of delimiter between files, maybe a homemade version of truecrypt could be constructed. Any idea what it...

I need (okay, I want) to make a dynamic array of my class 'Directory', within my class Directory (Can you already smell disaster?) Each Directory can have subdirectories so I thought to put these in an array. The application compiles but aborts without giving me any useful information. What I suspect is happening is infinite recursion. Each Directory object creates an array of Subdirectories each of which has an array of...

Hello I'm trying to create a multi dimensional array in JavaScript, but after some reading i still can't figure out how to apply it to my model. Here it is: I have a list A and for each item in the list A i want to associate an undetermined number of items. The complication for me is the fact that the items to associate in list A are undetermined.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
