I suspect it's your code doing something wrong. Could you post a short,
compilable piece of code that demonstrates your problem?

(note: using "u" when you mean "you" is *not* cool)

Hello, can you please help me find information or can you please explain in this newsgroup the differences about various datastructures (in terms of efficiency, best applications, best implementations, etc.), such as trees, hashtables, linked lists, etc. Thank you. C++J

Hi, Given a singly linked, null terminated list, how can it be converted to tree? Each node in the list has three attributes: it's ID, it's parent ID and of course, the next node it's pointing to. The parent id of root of the tree is 0. The length of list is not known. What will be the optimal solution? Node* convertToTree(Node* listHead);

I'm looking for a C/C++/Java library to create a balanced binary tree data structure given a set of leaf nodes as input. A leaf node should never become an interior node. So if I wish to create a tree that will have a,b,c & d as leaf nodes - this tree will contain nodes other than a,b,c & d as interior nodes: e.g. x / \

Hi everyone, Could someone help explain what I am doing wrong in this code block? This code block is an excerpt from a larger file that receives transmitted files via IBM WebSphere MQSeries an drops it to the local file system. Transmission of the file works as designed but it has a flaw.

I tried for an hour to find some reference to concrete information on why this particular inheritance implementation is a bad idea, but couldn't. So I'm sorry if this has been answered before. Here's the scenario: We have a base class with all virtual functions. We'll call this the Animal class. We then make two classes Fish and Bird that both inherit from Animal. In the program, we have a single array of Animal pointers that will...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
