trying to compile with clock_settime(. ..)

Trying to compile using clock_settime(. ..) [in time.h] but get:
"undefined reference to `clock_settime' ". Looking at time.h I see the
declaration is sandwiched between:

#ifdef __USE_POSIX1993 09
....
#endif

so I tried: gcc -D__USE_POSIX199 309
to no avail.

Any suggestions?

This is not the right group since we only deal with C not with system
specific extension be they POSIX, Windows or CPM. Might I suggest
comp.unix.progr ammer after reading their FAQ or possibly one of the GNU
mailing lists?

When I'm trying to compile my web application, I get this error: 'It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS.' I was recently given this web application to work on it, and when I try to compile it, that's the first (and only) error I get. Any help is appreciated.

I am using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 for development of an ASP.NET site, and I have a problem that greatly effects my workflow at times. It seems that after I upload new files anywhere within the directory structure of the site that is visible to VS, the next time I perform a build VS takes extra time, apparently downloading the new files (though the time required seems much longer than a one-time download should take). During this...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
