This doesn't appear to say anything that would be helpful for learning
the basics of the language, unless they've hidden it towards the end;
it only describes a particular freestanding environment that may be
interesting to some people.

If you're already familiar with programming-in-general and have good
resources for learning C-on-hosted-implementations (which is what
most people mean when they say "C"), this may provide a good way to do
something interesting once you've got the basics, but you probably want
to master the basics of the language before you start writing plugins
for anything.

You should post to CLC or CLC++ if you are interested in having highly
qualified people help you with your code, making it correct, efficient,
hansome, suave and good with the ladies. --Brian Rodenborn in CLC

I am designing a plugin system for a window application using .NET(C# specifically). One of the requirements of the plugin system is to be able to dynamically load/unload plugins. My initial thought was to use System.Reflection.Assembly.Load to load the plugins dynamically. This worked great, but I was left with no way to dynamically unload the plugin. So now I come to creating a new AppDomain for the plugins to reside in, since the...

I am creating a application that will be using plugins. I am doing this so that when I want to let this application work with another type of dbase system, I only have to write\install one plugin, not the entire app. I have created a base interface, it looks like: public interface myModel sub Initialize(byref DisplayPanel) sub Connect() sub Disconnect() sub Query() ...

Hello, I'm managing plugins in a .NET Application using Interface, I use the following code to load plugins: Dim pObhHandle As ObjectHandle = Activator.CreateInstanceFrom(pStrPath, pStrType) Dim pIpnPlugin As Check_Plugin = CType(pObhHandle.Unwrap, Check_Plugin) I've a problem when 2 plugins have the same namespace, do the problem depends from the assembly cache ?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
