Good way for newbies on irc to learn the basics of language? Put it to
practical use immediately?
This doesn't appear to say anything that would be helpful for learning
the basics of the language, unless they've hidden it towards the end;
it only describes a particular freestanding environment that may be
interesting to some people.
If you're already familiar with programming-in-general and have good
resources for learning C-on-hosted-implementations (which is what
most people mean when they say "C"), this may provide a good way to do
something interesting once you've got the basics, but you probably want
to master the basics of the language before you start writing plugins
for anything.
