this doesn't sound like a C question. Perhaps you're asking in the wrong
place. Nobody here has a clue what the ICAP protocol is (please don't
explain, its nothing to do with C anyway).

Hi colleagues, this is my second attempt to get rid of the f_tstate field in frames. I need to find every user of this field. What am I talking about? Well, Python always has a thread state variable which is a unique handle to the current thread. This variable is accessed in many places, and there exists a fast macro to get at it.

Hello, I am trying to use cx_bsdiff (http://starship.python.net/crew/atuining/cx_bsdiff/index.html) to to make a diff and patch some files. It appears that I can make the diff, but when I apply the patch, the result is not the same. As far as I understand the documentation, I am using this correctly. Can anyone help me find what is wrong in the code below?

Hi, Simple question (although I guess with a complicated answer). Is HTTP an async protocol? For instance, if I send a message to a c# webservice via http what is the protocol actually doing? Thanks in advance Steffan

Hi guys. I hope I can discuss Twisted here. If not, direct me to the correct place please. My question(s): I'm working on a custom network protocol (application layer in TCP/IP model) for a custom network. Please don't try to talk me out of this. I'm limiting many of the other protocols, because this is in a highly secure network, and latency/bandwidth is key. The packet sizes are minimized by the protocol design, which is ideal. ...

Does anyone know how to in ASP.NET (VB.NET) to display the current protocol being used between a client and server? I noticed that IIS/SQL Server can use Named Pipes if TCP/IP is not available. Does anyone know how to programmatically see which protocol is being used? Thanks.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
