I heard about that program. I hear it uses a special C++ libray that bends
the laws of physics. I hear it somehow utilizes Einstein's discovery that
time slows down the faster you're going. So I'm guessing that this program
either accelerates your computer to near the speed of light, or maybe slows
you right down somehow by relieving the earth's force of gravity upon you.
In other news, I've heard that there's typing tutor programs out there. With
practice, you can improve you typing speed, some people even get to over
100wpm!

Funny post. It advertises a program to help with your typing, but contains
a host of errors. Not the best way to advertise, eh? :-)

Will php 6 do strong typing and/or namespaces? I was shocked to find out today that there are some people who actually argue that weak typing is somehow better. I didn't even know there was a debate. Shocking. That's like arguing that square tires are better than round. Anyway if anyone knows that php is going to intentionally stay...

I also think...

ShedSkin (http://shed-skin.blogspot.com) has taught me something: simple syntax and high speed can often go together, in a computer language. This means two things: 1) A "fast language" can have a simple (python-like) syntax. For example a language fast as C++ can allow: d = {"hello":1} as a syntax to define a dictionary (with implicit...

I recently switched temporarily from C# to VB.NET to see what the differences are. To my surprise I am *much* faster with VB.NET. I don't know why, pressing the shift key to capitalize letters slows me down tremendously, among having to type a semicolon after each statement, not having intelligent auto-complete and auto-indentation and not...

The official glossary entry here: http://docs.python.org/tut/node18.html#l2h-46 says: " duck-typing Pythonic programming style that determines an object's type by inspection of its method or attribute signature rather than by explicit relationship to some type object ("If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck.") Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...
