Most of the people here will be happy to help you, provided that you read
the FAQ first to make sure your question's not already answered there, and
if not, formulate your questions clearly and concisely, with evidence that
you've already thought a bit about the problem (e.g., by providing a
minimal example exhibiting a certain problem).

Yup, it's called: comp.lang.c. Just don't use as a substitute for
consulting your favourite C book. If the book is not clear enough for
you, post the question here.
alt.comp.lang. learn.c-c++

This group is an abomination:

1. It wasn't needed in the first place. *Legit* newbie questions have
always been welcome here.

2. It is an atrocious idea to mix C and C++ in the same newsgroup.
Especially in a newsgroup dedicated to beginners.

Read through python site for programming tool, really plenty of choices :-) (For c++, I just can't breath with very very limited choices) Tried Spe, it come with wxGlade built-in very nice(is Spe still actively develop?). But seem that Boa Constructor and PyDev(the plug-in for Eclipse) also worth looking. Actually which one are you guys using? and why? I think it is also valuable for those who are new to python as me.

I have asked a number of questions as a newbie trying to learn Access. Some folks have been very helpful with very direct and simple answers that help alot. Others give me answers with extensive code that is hard for a newbie to follow when the answer is quite simple after I figure it out. Is this the right group for people trying to learn access to get help without being a programmer? Or are people just pulling my leg. For example...

Hi all. I was hoping some of you could recommend a book or two that would help me get started with the basics of C#. I have a slight knowledge of programming, but basically I want to start out like I know nothing, so I don't skip anything. I considered Microsoft Visual C# .NET Step by Step 2003 by Sharp/Jagger, but then I read a few reviews and it doesn't sound so good. I have XP Home, and I plan to buy only Visual C#, not Visual Studio,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
