Good Online Tutorial for Beginners

Does anyone know of a good online tutorial for C# focused on beginners. I
have been to many great sites like csharpfriends, csharp-corner etc looking
for good tutorials and have had no luck. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Bill,

Mike Mayer has a list of tutorials that may include some you haven't seen
yet:

Hi William,

I think you'd better buy a C# book for your learning if you want to turn to
the C# field.
"Inside C#" by Tom Archer is not bad and suitable for beginner.

Also, it seems of that "thinking in C#" by Bruce Eckel can be free download
from internet.

Several months ago I started a thread with the title "What is/is not considered to be good OO programming" which started a long and interesting discussion. I have condensed the arguments into a single article which can be viewed at http://www.tonymarston.net/php-mysql/good-bad-oop.html I fully expect this to be the start of another flame war, so sharpen your knives and get stuck in!

Hey people. I'm brand spanking new to the wonderful world of C++. I just want to ask the opinnions of the more experienced users if they know of DevCpp by Bloodshed and if they think it's a good or bad idea to use this software when learning C++. I have been programming and scripting with other languages (high level) for some time, but I'm very new too C++. I have downloaded the free Borland compiler and I have bought UltraEdit as

Ok, I've been reading an intro book to C# and I'm learning a lot of the basics. I can follow along with all the sample code and understand exactly what it's doing, but I know there's no way I'd be able to write the code myself. Also, it seems like every time I come here, or read info online, there is so much complicated stuff that I haven't even seen yet. Basically what I'm wanting to know is, how long do you expect it to take a...

Just like the subject says, I'm interested in taking up PHP and would like to know if anyone knows of any books that are a must have. I know there are tons of books out there on every language, but I'm sure some are much better than others. I'm mainly looking for a beginners book that also had advanced content too, but if that doesn't exist, then just an excellent beginners book would be fine too. Thanks in advance for any information you...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
