How to link file *.o on NetBSD

I wan't to display all process in Unix system. In compile time, it
didn't have a problem but link time is show error message "ps.o
(.text+0x9a): undefined reference to pfind"
"pfind" is a function that implement in file
/sys/kern/kern_proc.c and its prototype is in /usr/includ/sys/proc.h
My program is named myps . It is included sys/proc.h. I can
compile is but can not link it.
How to solve this problem. Please tell me. thank you very much

This question is specific to unix. Please wander down to
comp.unix.progr ammer (I think it's down the corridor on the right).
Before posting there please check their FAQ (google for it if you can't
see it).

I've compiled Python 2.3.3 on NetBSD and the thread (and therefore the threading) module is not available. Am I missing the module because of the way I made the binary? I could use the dummy_threading module, but then I'm sure I'd run into deadlocks. Thanks

Does anyone know of a Python library which handles sound file formats (MP3, Ogg, FLAC are the three I'm nost interested in). I'd like something that can manipulate "metadata" - stuff like artist, title, album tags. I'm not critically interested in format conversion, or playing sound files - I can handle that with other applications. I'm using Windows, and Python 2.3, if it matters (as it might for C extensions). I can manage with just...

hello, i'm writing a c program on a linux system. i'm debugging a segmentation fault but i don't want it to dump a core file because the memory footprint of the program is over 300Mb and i don't need it to generate a 300Mb file every time I add a new printf statement to debug the code. can i do something to prevent it from dumping the core file even when it seg faults? (is this a unix/linux thing, or a c thing?) thanks!

I have some c code which I have acquired and would like to use, unfortunately all the code (there is a lot of it) is expecting a passed FILE* pointer. The data I have is of the correct type but it is in memory. Is there a way I can create a FILE structure and point it to the data in memory, or generally convert my in memory data to a FILE structure? I know that I could always save the data in memory to disk and then load it again, to...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
