I have a file which has no BOM and contains mostly single byte chars. There
are numerous double byte chars (Japanese) which appear throughout. I need to
take the resulting Unicode and store it in a DB and display it onscreen. No
matter which way I open the file, convert it to Unicode/leave it as is or
what ever, I see all single bytes ok, but double bytes become 2 seperate
single bytes. Surely there is an easy way to convert these mixed...

Can someone familiar with Access 2003 please answer this question? I am
asking because I don't have the use of A2003. When Access 2003 finds an
Access 2000 database, does it come up with some sort of question/suggestion
indicating that you can convert this datbase into the new format? I am
trying to trouble shoot a remote site where a big error message indicating
the database was converted using the wrong method comes up when they try to...

Hi,
I am trying to read an image from MS Access DB based on the following article:
http://www.vbdotnetheaven.com/Code/Sept2003/2175.asp
The article author is using PictureBox for windows application, while I am
doing for web. I can only find Image from web forms control and HTML control.
This may be the root cause of my problem. For read button, I converted his VB
to the C#. But the compiler complains:

Hi,
I am trying to save and read an image from MS Access DB based on the
following article:
http://www.vbdotnetheaven.com/Code/Sept2003/2175.asp
Right now, I saved images without any errors. After reading the ole object

not be displayed. After I manually sent the file to wordpad, it shows

I have this comma delimited text file. I want to convert it in one sweep to
an access DB (mdb) format. I used the following code but it takes forever to
convert. Is there a faster way?
string strConn = @"Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=" +
strAppPath + "\\mydb.mdb";
OleDbConnection conn = new OleDbConnection(strConn);

I am interested in developing an online utility that will enable users
to
copy and past any image (or upload any image on the internet) to the
online utility, which will then convert the image to text.
The user may "convert image to text" and copy and paste the text
displayed into any word document, or send the text displayed to the
recipient's email address or can download the text file as a zipped
text file that will be presented to...

We designed a custom application using Office Developer Tools '97 which
included a Run-time version of Access--- so it would not matter if our
customer even had any version of Access on their computer. The
application ran without problems on our customer's computer for 2-3
years. Then our customer bought a new computer and we had to reinstall
the application. Everything was ok for approximately 6 months until our
customer was "cleaning up"...

Anyone knows how to convert .CAP files to .TXT files ?
because Access doesn't read .CAP files, so in order to import it, i'd
have to manually open all the .CAP files and "save as" filename.txt
before importing them onto Access.
is there a way to automate this process?
Thanks,

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
