840802 - custom controls in a property page

hi
how can i have a custom control in a property page?
i think i may register a window class, but i don't know how.
i think another way may be overriding OnPaint on a CStatic, but i know
how to do it only in a dialog, not in a property page.
besides, controls may have undefinable IDs, that is a control may get
its ID dynamically which is not constant to define a variable based on
it.
help me please

Please post this to a Windows programming group, this group is for C++
language questions only. Try news:comp.os.ms-windows.program mer.win32 or
news:microsoft. public.vc.mfc for instance.

Hello all, I'm sure there is, just can't figure it out. I have the RGB code and the color number. But the color doesn't exsist in Visual studio.net. Can I add this color to the system pallet it self, so I can add the custom color to fonts? I need to match as close as possible to the color I was given. Thanks Rudy

I am trying to create a custom button control for the web that, when clicked, disables and changes the text of itself and a bunch of other controls (in the collection). My goal is to end up with a button that prevents the user from submitting a form back multiple times and also prevents them from submitting the form and then clicking something else before the postback can finish processing. What I have is a working button that disables...

Hi, I am working with an 'in session' ado dataset with an asp.net application. My dataset is comprised of two tables, one of which maintains a few calculated datacolumns. For some reason these datacolumns do not trigger their expression when other columns from which the expressions are derived are updated. Below is a basic example of what I am doing. User enters values into an asp.net form and clicks a button. Retrieve dataset from...

Hello, I have created a custom dropdownlist that is used multiple times within a single page. When trying to set the values of the controls with the page in which they are being used, they all are set to the value of the last control. I found this link: http://www.codecomments.com/archive315-2005-1-366113.html which I think explains the situation but I'm not sure how to implement the solution in my case since I am not using a .ascx...

I'm in the process of expanding my knowledge and use of Class Modules. I've perused MSDN and this and other sites, and I'm pretty comfortable with my understanding of Class Modules with the exception of custom Collection Classes. Background: I'm developing an A2K .mdb to be deployed as an .mde at my current job-site. It has several custom controls which utilize custom classes to wrap built-in controls, and add additional functionality....

Hello i have made a custom control. i have placed a panel on it. I want this panel to behave just like the normal panel. The problem i was having is that the panel on my custom control doesnt accept other controls. The control i drag drop on it becomes the child of my custom control's parent form and not the child of my custom control. Then i added this line "" before my custom control class (i dont know what this line does). Now

There is a lot of good material related to using Master Pages for formatting controls and putting common design elements on multiple pages. I have VB.NET code that is common to all of my pages for doing things like rendering controls, making database connections, instantiating custom classes, etc... I am trying to figure out how to put code in the Master Page that will address controls on the content pages which use that master - say...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
