Is googling *that* difficult? What's more, you've been given valuable
suggestions in other posts you made.

I think Schaum's outline Programming with C++ (John R. Hubbard) is very
good

Hello, I have been programming with Visual Basic and PHP in the last 5 years and some folks had recommended Python a free language.... I had looked for a Python book to start up but found many titles... so, my question finally is: what book could be for a Python beginner - but NOT a programming beginner - which intends to develop *windowed* Python programms and intends to develop for Windows and for Linux? for example, look at Thuban...

I'm sure this question has been asked a hundred times. I did a google search and found some older post and some mixed reviews. I am looking for an updated opinion on which book is the best for learning Visual C++ .NET. A little background, I have been programming C# for the past year and I was a Visual Basic programmer for about 5 years before that. I created a new project in C++ .NET and it is like night and day compared to C#. I was...

Hello, I'm looking for a book with in-depth coverage of developing server controls, particularly custom controls. Ideally, the book would have a good amount of how-to's and best practices, but also serve as a fairly complete reference. It doesn't need a whole lot in the way of introductory material as I already have most of the basics down. So I've narrowed my search down to 2 books: "Developing Microsoft ASP.NET Server Controls and...

I'm looking to write a C# book fairly soon, and the publisher I've approached wants me to do a bit of market research to find out what people like and don't like in this kind of book. I've read loads of reviews of best-selling books on Amazon, so I've got some ideas from there, but I'd be very interested in hearing what you all think makes a good C# book. I'm interested primarily in stylistic things - how light-hearted, what kind of...

I am looking for a good C++ book for beginners. I have some experience with C and a lot of experience with Java. I am currently reading Bjarne Stroustrups C++ Programming Language but it starts off rather complex without examples of compiling modules or making and using classes. Is there some C++ books that takes you through the whole process of making modules, compiling them and using classes?

I am a C/C++developer with several years desktop app development experience. However, I am a COMPLETE and TOTAL newbie when it comes to taking about web apps. All the talk about CSS, layouts etc is VERY confusing to me. I want to be able to build my own website - because of my programming background, the programming aspect is not an issue and I can use either C# or VB.Net (I prefer C#) - but I have NO IDEA about how to go about building...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
