I need some help on timers. My app is asp.net 1.1 website running in a
shared hosting environment with a third-party service provider. I currently
request and cache 20 - 40 remote RSS feeds. When a user requests the page,
the app first tries to retrieve a feed from cache, if the feed has expired,
it goes off and request the file from the web.
If create a CacheItemRemovedCallback for each item to automatically
re-request an expired...

I think I've found a bug in the timer control.
I've got a class which uses a timer control.
It imports it from System.Windows.Forms
This timer ticks once a second, and then updates a
label which represents a clock on a form, to which the original class
has a reference. (MVC style)

Hi,
I like to know how many threads are used by a Threading.Timer object.
When I create a Threading.Timer object calling a short running method
every 5 seconds I expected to have one additional ThreadPool thread.
And that is exactly what MS VIsual Studio shows.
But when I run Processexplorer or Taskmanager I see 2 additional
threads, after a while another 2 additional threads. With the 3 threads
at start time we have totally 7 threads.

frmMain.Load I invoke the code using Backgroundworker1.RunWorkerAsync().
