The following ASP code yields the following error, but actually the new
record is stored
in database. The same error happens when the application deletes a record,
such as
sqlStmt ="delete from test where username='2323'" Any ideas? Thanks!
<%
Dim objRS, sqlStmt
Set objRS = Server.CreateObject ("ADODB.Recordset")
sqlStmt = "insert into test VALUES ('2341', '2341');"

Hi NG!
I have a class A that should store a vector of pointers to objects of class
B.
But class B contains a template argument and each of the stored objects in
class A could have a different template argument. So i need a way to store
an array of template objects in a non-template class. Obviously this wont
work
cause a can`t tell the compiler which template argument to use.
So whats the usual way to solve such a situation?

I am trying to compile a string class which was working before but
subsequent attempts to make it more 'object orientated' (privatizing
the member variables and implenting query functions) it refuses to
compile in Visual C++.
Here is the code: http://www.rbf.org.uk/xstring.h
When compiling I get the following:
\xstring.h(87) : error C2662: 'query_length' : cannot convert 'this'

Hi,
Is it possible to copy the entire List(Of type) object to another
List(Of type) object
(they are both of the same type ofcourse) - without keeping the
reference?
There's the CopyTo method, but it only copies the data to a flat array.
I Need this for Backup in my program, when i update the master list and

Hi,
I have a bunch of object derived from the same base class. They all share
the same constructor with some parameters. Now, instead of using a large
switch() statement where I call every single Object by itself, I'd like to
assign a reference to the class type and call it later without knowing the
derived type.
Example:

Hi,
I'm trying to extend an STL class with additional iterator
functionality. In the simplified example below I added an extra
iterator class with a dereferencing operator. This operator
internally relies on the at function of the superclass.
#include <vector>

Could someone explain if the following gcc 4.1 compile error is
working as designed and, if so, why does the second version of the
code not fail?
Failing case:

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
