how to link the libary with Borland C++ Compiler 5.5. It works fine in
DevC++ because I can link it into the project trough the Project
Options, but how to do it in Borlands C++ Compiler 5.5?

The_Sage, I see you've gotten yourself a twin asking for program in comp.lang.c++ . http://groups.google.co.uk/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&th=45cd1b289c71c33c&rnum=1 If you the oh so mighty programmer that you pretend to be, why don't you just write some? (And oh, void main is still not allow by the C++ standard.) Seeming as how you tried to quote the standard in an attempt to pretend you're right, I'll quote the standard to once...

I have an application that I want to use an embedded database in. I started with MySQL and ODBC (client server model) but want to change that. I found SQLite http://www.sqlite.org and found it promising, a single dll-file contains all the needed functions. I'm new to C# but I found that I have to write C# functions marked with unsafe keyword do call an external dll-file. I tried to add an reference to sqlite.dll in Visual .NET 2003 but I...

Hi, I have just inherited some embedded software that was compiled with Borland 4.52. I need to either purchase that compiler, which Borland no longer appear to sell or alternatively source an upgrade/compatible compiler. Do Borland sell a newer version of the 4.52 compiler that will still allow me to compile a DOS executable? Regards, Darren

I've been looking around and reading, and I have a few more questions about SQLite in particular, as it relates to Python. 1. What is the current module to use for sqlite? sqlite3? or is that not out until Python 2.5? 2. What's the difference between sqlite and pysqlite? Do you need both, just one, or is one an older version of the same thing? 3. What's the difference between the command line program called sqlite3

I've got a db some of whose elements have been created automatically from filesystem data (whose encoding is iso-8859-1). If I try to select one of those elements using a standard SQL construct, things work fine: Butcher%",)).fetchall() But if I use the pysqlite recipe for searching with a regexp, things don't work: ('John Butcher',)).fetchall()

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
