How should we know? I mean, this is a *language* newsgroup, not Dev-C++
*product* newsgroup. Have you tried their web site?

There is no "visual aspect of C++". C++ is a programming language. It
has no "visual aspects". If you need to know how to use Visual C++ (the
Microsoft's product for writing MS Windows applications), try asking in
microsoft.publi c.vc.ide_genera l or microsoft.publi c.vc.language.

Hi there,
don't know if it's the right group, but I'll try anyway. Sorry if I'm OT,
anybody can be so patient to tell me the right group ? Thanks :)
Anyway, the question is:
I know I can write C programs using a C++ environment like Dev-C++. However,
I'd like to know if there are some options that allow Dev to ignore C++
syntax and act as a C-only compiler. Is this possible ? And, if not, can

Hi,
I normally work with MS Access databases using ASP pages. I have been
given the opprotunity to work on some available SQL server space, and
wanted to ask a couple of questions. The following is a simple update
query that I use. It is an ASP page that connects to an MS Access Db:
<%
Set Conn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
myDSN = "DRIVER={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};"

I am trying to run a Card dealling program from my textbook. It consists of a header file (class definition), definitions of member function and a main program. How do I get Bloodshed to "tie" them together to run? I hope I am using the correct terminology.
:confused:

Hi,
I'm interested in developing an application that needs to run on more
than one operating system. Naturally, a lot of the code will be shared
between the various OSs, with OS specific functionality being kept
separate.
I've been going over the various approaches I could follow in order to
implement the OS-specific functionality. The requirements I have are
as follows :

I'm coming from a Java background, and exploring C#. An acquaintance
gave me a .dll that I plan on using in a couple of projects. His
directions involved putting a copy of the .dll in the folder where my
project is and adding a reference to it. I've gotten everything to
work just fine, but I've got a few general questions regarding the use
of .dll's in this fashion. Unfortunately, my acquaintance has gone on
vacation, so I hope that I...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
