RAW Image data reading ERROR

I read RAW image data from a binary file stream. I have to read just
bytes one by one and put them into a matrix of structs of unsigned
chars.
I have to use unsigned chars because their rangs go from 0 to 255. If
I use chars then a value of 129 will be -128 :(

The problem:

infile.get(Imag eDATA[i][j].R);

Reads only chars... Ok, it works fine with chars, but when I access to
the matrix the value is read like char... but i want rang from 0 -
255...

Help meeeeee

The source is something like that:

#include <iostream>
#include <fstream>
#include <ctime>
#include <stdlib.h>

using namespace std;

struct structRGB {
unsigned char R;
unsigned char G;
unsigned char B;
};

structRGB ImageDATA[576][720];

int main(int argc, char *argv[]) {

int i,j;
ifstream infile;
ofstream outfile;

infile.open("im age.raw", ios::binary);
for(i=0; i<576; i++) {
for(j=0; j<720; j++) {
infile.get(Imag eDATA[i][j].R);
infile.get(Imag eDATA[i][j].G);
infile.get(Imag eDATA[i][j].B);
}
}
infile.close();
outfile.open("c opy.raw", ios::binary);
for(i=0; i<576; i++) {
for(j=0; j<720; j++) {
outfile.put(Ima geDATA[i][j].R);
outfile.put(Ima geDATA[i][j].G);
outfile.put(Ima geDATA[i][j].B);
}
}

outfile.close() ;
system("PAUSE") ;
return 0;
}

How about

ImageData[i][j].R = infile.get();

istream::get() returns an int, which is plenty.

Hello there, I am at my wit's end ! I have used the following script succesfully to upload an image to my web space. But what I really want to be able to do is to update an existing record in a table in MySQL with the path & filename to the image. I have successfully uploaded and performed an update query on the database, but the problem I have is I cannot retain the primary key field in a variable which is then used in a SQL update...

Hello All: I have a field in the database that is an Image. I have no idea how the data is stored in here (Image, compressed, encrypted, plain text, etc). I am trying to write the contents to a text file, image file, etc so I can see if the data is stored in a way we can understand (we have been tasked to write an app and the app needs to read this field, but we don't know what it really contains). How would I go about reading the...

Hi, I am trying to read an image from MS Access DB based on the following article: http://www.vbdotnetheaven.com/Code/Sept2003/2175.asp The article author is using PictureBox for windows application, while I am doing for web. I can only find Image from web forms control and HTML control. This may be the root cause of my problem. For read button, I converted his VB to the C#. But the compiler complains:

After reading the ole object from db, I saved it to C: as file1.bmp and displayed on the web. But it can not be displayed. After I manually sent the file to wordpad, it shows

Hi Community, I think I can store Binary Data in SQL Server but when I try to retrieve it, I always only get one byte. I think I stored my Binary Data in SQL Server in a Colum of Type Image. At least when I execute the following code, I get some significant network traffic. When I check the database with query analyzer, I see 4 Hex Chars in the image colum. Like 0xe0 etc.

But this is an old database and I cannot get the image to work. The columns in the database are of type text. Here is one of the images text (in full) in the database (I hope you can see it):

Introduction In this article I will provide you an approach to manipulate an image file. This article gives you an insight into some tricks in java so that you can conceal sensitive information inside an image, hide your complete image as text ,search for a particular image inside a directory, minimize the size of the image. However this is not a new concept, there is a concept called Steganography which enables to conceal your secret...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
