Hi,
When compiling Sketch's streamfilter C extension the errors below are
raised during linking. What could cause the errors?
(Python 2.3, MinGw 1.1 with GCC 2.95.3-6, Windows 98)
Here are the occurrences of FilterType that may be relevant:

I'm attempting to follow the instructions at
http://sebsauvage.net/python/mingw.html, without luck.
I have Python 2.3, MinGW 3.2.3, ans SWIG 1.3.19.
I get an export error on "initexample" when attempting the example. Do
I need some extra switches to get SWIG to create that function? Or is
it something else?

I'm trying to understand and document how to install pypar on Win2k.
Pypar needs to be installed with some MPI library code and also needs
libpython23.a and other files which are not included with the python
Windows binary installation. I've got that worked out but still no
success.
Here's the error message I'm seeing:

I have both mingw and cygwin on a Windows machine.
I have installed Eclipse, with the CDT, and written a 'Hello World' test
program.
I would like Eclipse to use the mingw complier but looking through the
project's settings Eclipse seems to have created its own PATH variable
with c:/cygwin/bin ahead of a suitable path to the mingw binaries.
I can't figure out how to tell Eclipse that I do not want c:/cygwin /bin

I am using Eclipse C++ on Windows with MinGW for linkage. Can you tell
me why the libraries used by MinGW (in the \MinGW\lib directory) have
a .a extension, wich is unix library extension? I thought that MinGW
would use .lib libraries.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
