use of strstream object of standard lib

Hi,

I am using ostrstream object.I am using the str() function to get the char
buffer. The function is returning the pointer of char buffer , but it is
adding some garbage at the end. This behaviour is not predictable .
Sometimes it is returning the char buffer correctly , sometimes it is
returning the char buffer and some garbage attached to it at the end.I am
initialising the ostrstream object by fill('\0') function.

Can U please suggest some solution.

I am writing the code below for reference.

tBool clClusterCheckR esults::logUpli nkZeroCellError (const clCluster&
corfCluster,
RBINTValOrdered Vector <int> a_vZCsNotRetain ed)
{
bool a_bReturnValue( false);
ostrstream myBuffer;
myBuffer.fill(' \0');
a_bReturnValue = true;

myBuffer << corfCluster // << opearor is overloaded for clCluster class
<< " WARNING: The Cluster has no Uplink ZeroCells. "
<< " The following Zero Cells with Cobounding OC, with Uplinks are not
retained "
<< " in the higher level. (ZC Index) - ";

for(int iZeroCellIterat or = 0 ;
iZeroCellIterat or < a_vZCsNotRetain ed.length() ;
iZeroCellIterat or++)
{
myBuffer << a_vZCsNotRetain ed[iZeroCellIterat or] << " ";
}

myBuffer << "END\n";
cout<< "``````````PRIN TING mybuffer logUplinkZeroCe llError```````` `\n";
cout<< myBuffer.str(); //Here the output is coming errorous
cout<< "``````````OVER ``````````````` ``````````````` ``````````````` \n";

m_oReport.logEr rorMessage(myBu ffer);

m_oResultsCount er.incrementErr orCount(
corfCluster.get Level(),
UplinkZeroCellC heck,

I'm trying to use a string stored in a strstream object as the filename parameter in the open call on an fstream object.. It requires a const char* but no matter what I try I can't seem to get a raw pointer to the string stored in the strstream object.. Anyone have an idea I'm overlooking? Thanks in advance.. -- http://www.SPAMdelusionalmindSUCKS.com

I am working on a c++ module, where large amount of data needs to be written to a stream and str() method is been used to assign the value of this to the char*. This produces the intended result. But when i run purify on it i get the following results. Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
