about ado.net

Hello!

I'm reading about ado.net and there are something that I don't fully
understand.
It says "In addition to the standard functionality of a DataAdapter,
TableAdapters provide additional typed methods that encapsulate queries
that share a common schema with the associated typed DataTable."

What does it mean with typed methods? Is it just a normal method with
perhaps some parameters and a quesry embedded.
What does it mean with typed DataTable?
