Why doesn't event reload?

For some reason, this method is not hit after I unload/reload it. I'm
doing this in a datagrid event:

void dtConversion_RowChanged(object sender, DataRowChangeEventArgs e)
dtConversion.RowChanged -= new
DataRowChangeEventHandler(dtConversion_RowChanged) ;
...some code that assigns values into cells
dtConversion.RowChanged += new
DataRowChangeEventHandler(dtConversion_RowChanged) ;

I see that both unloading and reloading of the event is run in the
debugger. However, this method is never hit after the initial
unloading. If the method is reloaded, why isn't it being hit again?
