Hi all,
I have a problem on release memory.
If I delcare the following pointer to pointer char, how can I free the
allocated memory ?
let say "myVar = 20" <---actually it is not a constant, but now I set
it to 20.

I write a Windows Application which uses db connections and some COM dll.
After running consecutively for 12 hours, the memory of the application
increased from 30MB to 130MB.
How can I trace the main cause of the memory used and how can I release
them?

Hi all,
my problem is that the application doesn't terminate when I close the form using the close box on the caption bar. Actually it seems as if the program is closed but task manager's process list shows that it is not.
There is one thread that I manully create and start in forms load event. But I set the IsBackground property of the thread to true. So, it should terminate while exiting the application.

i am using vb.net 2005 to my desktop application.
my problem is like this
when i am running my project it occupies 100% cpu at 1st form load.
then again it release memory upto 95%.
when i am calling new / loading another form it agein occuipes 100%
cpu or near about it.
While loading each form i am doing like this:
me.close
me.dispose
