If FlowLayoutPanel's AutoScroll is set to true, there appears a scroll
bar on the right. Normally, users would expect the contents is scrolled
while they are dragging the scroll bar. Well, it does, but not when the
Windows's "Show window contents while dragging" is disabled. Almost all
the Windows' common coltrols scrolls the contents while dragging even
if that option is disabled. So, I think FlowLayoutPanel should behave
like other...

Hi all,
I have a problem regarding use of a usercontrol in .NET.
My usercontrol consists of two listviews which I say as source and
destination lisviews which
contains the files and folders.
I select files from source view and transfer it to the destination
view.The problem arises while
displaying the dialog for overwriting the file or folder if it is
present on the other side.

I had placed three controls on a UserControl and had them all perfectly
docked together filling up the UserControl.
I needed to add a fourth controls docked to the top. So I dropped it on the
UserControl, changed the new control to Dock = top and changed the taborder
of all the other controls (bumped each up by 1) . But when I start changing
the other controls back to dock = left, fill, etc... they expand the entire
height of the form...

Is there an upper limit on what FlowLayoutPanel will display?
I wrote a test that adds 395 buttons to a flowlayoutpanel and it stopped
displaying them after button 310, cutting 310 in half. It allocated enough
room in the frame. There's just no button visible after button 310.
This is not a frivolous question as I'm using flowlayoutpanel for a
photoview layout in a home inventory program.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I want my custom UserControl to size and resize with its parent, a Form. But
when I use the code
Size=Parent.ClientSize;
in the constructor of myUserControl, Parent is null and the operation fails.
What is the proper place to put this code?

My application consists of basically a treeview on the left side,
along with a panel control that takes up the right side. When nodes
are clicked on the left, the data on the right side of the panel is
changed based on that type.
What I'm using are usercontrols, so I can do the visual design of them
in a separate window. when the node is clicked, I assign the parent
of the usercontrol to the panel control that is on the right side of...

I have a usercontrol written in C# that exposes a public property of
type double. This control is used in a program written in VB.net.
If I set the value to 66.6667, it stays fine, I can break into the
usercontrol code at various events that can change the values and it's
still 66.6667.
However, if I iterate over the controls (they're in a FlowLayoutPanel)
in the vb code to get the values in question, they're rounded off to
one...

I've read several articles/blogs/threads about anchoring/docking child
controls in a FlowLayoutPanel. It sounds like it *should* work, but I can't
get it to work for the life of me.
Jon Skeet: I've created a short and complete sample to illustrate the
problem. Beat you to it! :0)
I would really appreciate if anyone could take a look at this and tell me
what the magic trick is to make this work. All I want is to have the child...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
