I want to create an application that can be used both for a
server-client model as well as a standalong application. The idea is to
write a general server-client application. The standalong then just has
both components on the same system. Now the question is if this is a
good approach or if this is even doable. For instance do web services
have requirements that would prevent them from running on a non-server
OS? Any input?

Greetings.
Ok, I admit it, I bit off a bit more than I can chew.
I need to complete this "Generate Report" page for my employer and I'm
a little over my head. I could use some additional assistance. I say
additional because I've already had help which is greatly appreciated.
I do try to take the time and understand the provided script in hopes

there are 4 combo boxes.. when u select an item from each combo box and click the ViewReport Button then those selected item values should go as parameters to the crosstab query in the vba code subroutine and from that the report should be generated.

I was working on SSRS 2005 as part of SQL Server 2005 Express Edition with Advanced Services Sp1. I successfully developed a custom reporting application. It was working fine. Then I installed SQL Server 2008 on the machine. Corresponding changes in the database connection string, data source specification etc have been made.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
