I have Access 2000 installed on a machine and I create the MDE just fine.
When I copy the MDE file over to another machine that has Access 2000
installed, the references are hosed and I get unable to find function error.
There are no third party controls in the application.
This target machine is on a network requiring domain login, but the user is
set up as a Local Administrator.
Any ideas or code that I can use to work arount this...

Hi,
I'm having a bit of a problem with a small application I wrote in C#,
which uses an Access database (mdb file) for storing financial data.
After looking for a similiar topic and failing to find one, I'm posting
the question in hope some one of you guys out there will have the
answer for me...!
I'll start with what I have, then I'll continue to the problem itself.

I am trying to get my first application to run on a production server and
the application continues to fail, and I am pretty sure it is failing when
it attempts to connect to my database.
What option do I need to set in my web.config file such that it will tell
me where the application is failing if I am running it from the Web Server
(localhost)? Right now it is showing me the web config file
What option in the web.configure file do...

This most likely belongs in another forum but I thought I'd start here. I
have a COM Object written in VB6. The DLL will access MS Excel and use it's
Object Library to write a customized report and saves it to a folder. The
DLL even writes to a log for each step it takes so we can troubleshoot the
problems (if any).
This works fine on one machine but not another. The folder the DLL is trying
to write to has full permissions assigned...

hello,
i am working on my first web service project. i am writing a webpage
that consumes a ws from one of our partners, so i do not have access to
the ws code itself. this partner uses certificates for security. the
steps they gave me to access it are:
1) run wsdl.exe on the "webservice.wsdl" given to me
2) compile the resulting .CS proxy class into a .DLL assembly

Hi all,
While working on an Access UI to a MySQL database (which should be a
reasonable, low-cost, flexible interface to the DB, better than
web-based, much less costly than a full-fledged .NET app or so.... is
it?), I tried measuring the bandwith consumed by the
Access/MyODBC/MySQL link, which came out to be, er, quite high.
I fancied it would be interesting to look at the queries Access throws
at MySQL through the ODBC link, so I...

Hello!
First off, many many thanks to Albert who wrote the Mail Merge code for MS Access I am using. It has been working beautifully for a few years. However, my client just (without notice!) upgraded from Access 2000 to Access 2007. Now that component is failing.
The merge is building the data source file fine (text file named merge.888).
I am providing an absolute path reference to the word file being used for the mail merge. ...

Hi! We have a VB application using Crystal Reports 6 that has worked
successfully on hundreds of systems for over 10 years. Now, on one
network, the application and access database does not close. It seems
to hang on the command.
When we open the application an peruse the screens without opening up
a report (using crystal reports), the application and access db closes
fine. But as soon as we run a report and then close the report and...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
