Is there a way to set the application binding policy so
that it always binds to the latest version of an
assembly? I'm hoping there is a way to avoid updating the
application's binding configuration every time there is
an update to a shared assembly.

right now i have some sql server tables that i search for a value w/ a key
each time a .aspx is hit. is there any way i can just have the first hit to
the .aspx select all the entries from the key/value table in to some kind of
hash table so that subsequent hits to the .aspx get the data from the hash
table instead of the database? e.g. is there any way to share a hash table
between aspx sessions? can application variable do this or is...

queries. The error messages such as "Null value in required field" or
"duplicate value in primary key" are suppressed. The error messages
appear when runnign the apend query manually or when closing the form
using X, but not when using command buttons.
Does anyone know how can the messages be displayed when using command

Hi,
previously I used Eclipse CDT for compiling my files just to get
started with C and leave C++ behind. Now it's time to get a little more
serious so I've moved my files to a new workplace and begun to use GNU
Autotools. I'm sorry to say I'm new to gcc as well :(
Now I get the most ridiculous compile error which I'm unable to solve.
Can someone, please, help me with this? gcc output together with the
files mentioned in the gcc error...

I want to make a web application that will run on my home server and would
like to be able to have the web application interact with another, winforms
application. For example, let's say I wanted to go to an aspx page, click a
button called "open notepad", then on ther server machine I would like to
have the web app interact with a service installed on my server that handles
the execution of different files.
Does that makes sense?

I have a sequence of clicks in my apps that are always causing the
session to start again. This is definitely not being caused by a
timeout, cause it always happens no matter how long since the last
load. It is happening right after a this.Response.Redirect(myURL+
querystring).
This line of code is executed in other areas fine, so nothing wrong
with the actual line, but I always get a session_start event right
after this is executed after...

I have been playing around with trying to PInvoke GDI+ from C#, I made recently made the transition from C/C++ to C# and I really like the language, however being the old fashioned programmer I am I don't like the idea of the framework slowing down my applications with uncessesary safety checks. So I decided to try and PInvoke into GDI+ directly so tweak some extra performance out of an application I am writing. But every time I try I get an...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
