Hi
I am using the following SQL to retrieve a value in a list box using a
unique ID held in the list box call cntID. The list box is used on an
order form to list appointments that have been made for service staff.
My problem is the SQL is not retrieving the value of the listbox. I
have tested the SQL by entering a fixed value of a valid entry in the
listbox and it works fine, but as soon as I replace the fixed value
with...

Hi
I posted a question recently regarding problems I am having getting a
value from a list box to use in a query. I got a lot of help, for
which I thank you and it's nearly working! But I need a little more
help on one more point.
This is what i've got. I have code that hunts for updated
appointments in a public folder based on the order that happens to be
open (code fires on an on open event) This works fine and updates my

Is there a way to get the email address list from Global Address Book using
Active Directory or some other method without Outlook or
any other COM program? Outlook displays the dialog box when you
try to access an email address, and that gets annoying really fast. I am
converting an Outlook Form to C# program, because of the problems with
Outlook / CDO
new security features and I need to display the Global Address List for the
user. ...

I've got a Contacts & Events database in Access 2K where contacts
attend various events.
At present, where I want to group e-mail all the attendees who are
going to attend a particular event, I run a macro which runs a select
query which strips out and exports a list of their e-mail addresses (
separated by commas) into a text file. I then copy the CSV e-mail
addresses and paste them into the BCC field of Outlook.
I'd love to have a...

Hi all I'm using trying to get my app to read in all contacts in the contact folder of Outlook. I'm using the Outlook Security manager to stop the pop up warnings. Outlook version is 2002(10.2627.2625) I can create a contact in Outlook and I can use it to send an email. It's just the getting the contacts list that doesn't work. The thing is it also works on my dev machine but not on the users machine.
The code I'm using:

This must be a common operation, but I have searched this newsgroup
and have wrestled with the help messages, and I seem to need help with
this simple task.
I have an Access 2000 database which, via a query, can
generate a list of e-mail addresses. I can export this list, if
necessary. There may be hundreds of names in this list.
Now, I want to send e-mail to everyone on this list. I can
copy the list onto the clipboard (all 300...

Dear all,
I'm trying to write a program with a control like the left flist of outlook.
A header or button above with a list under it.
But it's a bit difficult to emulate the animation effect when the button
rises up or sets down.
I wonder if there's such a sample.
Thanks for any hints in advance.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
