Trouble with resources

Hi,

I'm experimenting this trouble in a WPF development (2008 3.5). There is
an executable file and an assembly. The assembly files carries some resources
files. The executable loads the assembly but the resources are not loaded.
What am I missing? Which code do I need to carry the reports? I wish to keep
them in the assembly.

Thanks,
Marco Castro

What is the difference between a managed/unmanaged resource, and how do you tell which is which? I'm trying to understand how to write some Dispose() methods, and we are supposed to put code that deals with managed in one place, and code that deals with unmanaged in another place, but I can't seem to find anything that clearly explains what that means. I think if I used a Windows API function to optain a handle, that handle would be an...

Well as some of you know I was using a tab control for a project I was building for my boss. Today he tells me that he wants: When he switches tabs to be able to switch back and see whatever it was he was doing on the other tab. That may not sound like a big thing but I used the same controls for each tab and then manually cleared the page so he didnt see the same in another

Hi all, I have a website which I want to make multi-language capable. For this, I need to create a local resource for each .aspx page (here: Default.aspx). In the folder containing the page, I create the App_LocalResources folder in which I created the Default.aspx.resx- file for the aspx file. Loading and localizing resources works fine for text resources, but it doesn't for images. In Page_Load() of Default.aspx:

I have a Visual Basic (2005) project that contains around twenty embedded text files as resources. The text files contain two columns of real numbers that are separated by tab deliminator, and are of different lengths (e.g. usually between 25 and 45 rows. The columns in each file have the same length). The text files have been numbered sequentially e.g. cb0, cb1, cb2 and so on. I would like to read the data from each text file into...

hi @ll, VS2008, .Net 2.0 (migrated source from VS2003) I have a form with three DataGrids (not DataGridViews). When I set the CaptionFont in the designer, it is not correctly persisted. It will be displayed correctly in the designer view. After (re-)building the solution, the value for the font is neither set in Form.Designer.cs nor in Form.resx nor Form.en.resx.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
