Is this possible?
I have compiled an assembly in VS2005 and am trying to add a reference to
that assembly from my VS2003 project. The error that I am getting is:
A reference to '{path to vs2005 dll}' could not be added. This is not a
valid assembly or COM component. ONly assemblies with extension 'dll' and
COM components can be referenced. Please make sure that hte file is
accessible, and that it is a valid assembly or COM component.

After the last six days trying to download VS2005 Professional it seems
there may be a problem with my instance of the File Transfer Manager (FTM)
or somewhere in the network in between. I can't even download the measely
1.5MB GIF animator which is in the Tools folder at subscriber downloads. The
FTM keeps recycling with retries until it finally times out regardless of
the configuration settings.

model is code-separation. I can uncheck
the "place code in separate file" checkbox when
I add a new WebForm, and VS2005 will remember
this setting.

Hello,
I see and read that VS2005 Web apps no longer creates a csproj file. While
it says that some of that info is now stored in the web.config, much of it is
not. For example, what physical file stores the property settings, references
to other assemblies, or default aspx page?
I've tried to find such a file but can't. I even set the default page to
something obscure and searched the directory to see if that would find the
file.

I have a MSDN subscription and I'm downloading the first CD of VS2005
now. But I'm not sure I'm doing it right. I put a blank CD in the CD
drive and told it to write it to D: (the cd drive). It said there was
not enough space. I went to mycomputer then d: and right clicked and
there was a format option so I said ok format it. I then went back to
MSDN site and now it's downloading to the CD.
