Hi,

this is not a suitable question for this NG. I advise you two thing,
first do a search to see if others have posted a similar problem, it
does not have to be with asp.net though.

Post the question in either the ASP.NET NG or in a Citrix forum

Good luck!

I have posted this to the Citrix Developers' forum and have not heard anything yet. So I'd like to see if any other Java developers have experience this problem with their Java application in a Citrix Published application environment. We are running Citrix XP enterprise feature release 2 on windows 2000 server sp4. We developed a Java application which can catch the "PrintScreen" key event released event correctly in our PC but could...

I have a client that wants an application developed to run alongside an existing application currently deployed over Citrix. I was hoping to write this app using the .Net framework. However I find that when doing some testing (on Windows 2000) with a very simple app that accesses a database, fills a dataset, and also for fun opens a frame with a crystal report viewer, I find that memory requirements in RAM quickly skyrocket up to around...

I have a client that has a split database (front-end/back-end). They are also using Access security - MDW file. The front end MDE file, the back end MDB file, and the MDW file are all located on a shared folder on the file server. They have two populations of users - local and remote. *ALL* users currently get to the system via a Citrix login. They log in to Citrix and get a Citrix desktop. Then they start the application via a...

Hello, Five years of development has us using a very large database (a couple hundred screens) in one location, which is very managable. Now our company will be expanding to several distant states and wants a live database throughout. What are my options? One suggestion was that we make a web-based application for ease of updates and availability to remote sites. That would, of course, involve a complete rewrite of the front end...

An application I wrote has been deployed on Citrix, and the Citrix admin tells me all users run the same .mde file. There aren't a lot of concurrent users, but even 2 could be cause for concern. I think the use of globals is worrisome in this case. Anybody have any experience with Access on Citrix? (Al Kallal already griped me out about globals, but if he has anything new to add I'm all ears).

Hi all, I was testing Albert Kallal's printerchangecode with an app of mine (A2k) This code is changing the default printer, prints a report, and sets the default printer back to the original default. It is simple, straightforward and works perfect at my place. But, I just noticed that my client has switched to SBC (Server Based Computing). So the app (FE-BE) is running on a Citrix server now. I wonder if the code will also work in a...

I recently inherited a VB.Net app that now needs to be deployed on Citrix 9.1. As far as I can tell (I am new to VB.Net from VB6) there is nothing in the app code specifically accessing the C drive, but my citrix admin tells me that the app won't run because it is trying to access/write files on the c drive. Specifically the security log (but there is more than just that). The citrix admin says he can't do anything about opening up those...

Hello, We are currently running our Access 2003 database over Citrix. We have been using a single front-end, but reading over topics in this group has made it clear that I should create separate front-ends for each user...so I will do so...thanks to this group for the great research. My question: on occasions, staff have to access the database and they will not have a network connection. I am considering setting up replication...

I have the following code which works fine in IE6 and IE7 and FireFox, but when I run IE6 on Citrix I get "The page cannot be displayed" in the iframe. We don't have IE7 on Citrix so I can't try it. <span id="ShowReport" disabled="disabled" style="display:inline-block;height:1200px;width:880px;"> <div> <iframe src=../../WsiLogo.gif<frame src=../../WsiLogo.gif> <embed src=../../WsiLogo.gif</iframe> </div>

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
