I have the following code but I can't get the selected text to
highlight correctly. What happens is all the text after the selected
text is red. I need to add that after the selected text is
highlighted, I append more text to the box (I'm working through an xml
doc & highlight based on attributes as I go along).
Any help appreciated. thanks...charlie

Dear All,
I placed a HtmlSelect control on a web page and set it to "Run at
Server", the
objective of this HtmlSelect control is that the client adds all his
accounts to a
text box, and because this is a client side operation(no server
intervention is required), I wrote the JavaScript below to add account
number
entered in a text box to the list control, this works fine, the client can

I think I'm close to making this work, but so far it does not.
I have a datalist (id = "dlVFields") on a web form that has an item template
with a textbox in it. The textbox id = "txtVerify". When the form is
submitted via a button click (button is outside datalist) I loop through the
datalist's DataListItem collection to retrieve any values entered into the
textboxes. My problem is that I'm not getting anything back from the
textboxes...

Hi
I have a user control that contains a RichTextBox in vb.net. In my
program, I create multiple instances of this control (with the
RichTextBox being in each one), that appear one above the other on a
panel. The problem is that each control may have varying amounts of
data, and so each RichTextBox (within each control) needs to size to
fit the amount of text within that RichTextBox. I've tried
multiplying the size of a single line...

The documentation for the RichTextBox is sketchy at best. I want to do a
very simple task but I cannot find information on this. I am using a
RichTextBox as an output window. Some text I want to just add plain (e.g..
rtf.Text += "new stuff..."; ) but some text, when added, I want to be in a
different color or font size. Find() will not work because the text will
vary. I have delimiters on it so I could recognize it with a regular ...

Hi,
First of all let me confess that I could not get the solution to the same problem from an earlier post Printing :by Mr.Richard MSL (dated September 24th 2006) working.
(Replied by Mr.Walter Wang - September 27th 2006)
My problem is to Print a text from a RichTextBox with all options like - AllowMultiplePages enabled plus PrintPreview and PageSetup.
I tried 2 algorithms - 1 posted in Microsoft and 1 posted in this forum.

I don't want to re-invent the wheel and am looking for a simple
implementation of a text viewer or RichTextBox in read only mode that
allows rapid file positioning within large data files without the time
consuming and memory hogging associated with loading the entire file.
Using the thumb to get close and then paging and scrolling to get
exact placement within the file. Perhaps with only a few pages of data
loaded into memory.
I...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
