Hi, all
This time I need advice - no help ;)
I have following architecture:
30 server with 100 devices connected each one
Each "device" implement some (between 1 and 10) different interfaces
All devices implements one basic interface
I have N clients to work with all devices.
Options of implementation
1) Remoting - Owful "overhead" (IMHO)
2) Just regilar custom TCP (sending well-known string commands to hub server

Hello,
I'm currently developing a web service that retrieves data from an employee
table. I would like to send and retrieve a custom employee class to/from the
webservice. I have currently coded the custom employee class and have built
it as a separate library (employee.dll). This employee.dll is being
referenced by both the web service and the windows application.
I face the following problem when I send this class to the webservice.

Hi,
I'm pulling my hair out trying to work this out. Pehaps I am
missunderstanding something - hopefully someone can shed some light on this:
1) I have a class library that contains a bunch of custom web controls. Two
of these controls are derived from the TextBox control, and overide the
onLoad method in order to add some client side attributes, eg:
namespace SomeControls{

Can someone point me to some good instructions on using the
WinInet.dll functions from VBA?
I need to interact with a MySQL database via HTTP strings.
We already have the database set up and a PHP script that can receive
commands via HTTP. The script receives the HTTP commands and performs
the database actions, then responds with XML.
This system already works when I test it from IE. I simply send it an
HTTP string similar to this:

I've been clicking around Access 2007 Beta 2 and can't see the custom
menu bar designer. Is it in the beta? Maybe I'm blind. The question
that comes to mind is: Will custom menu bars be the same height as they
were in previous versions or will they be the "ribbon" style that takes
up a huge portion of the screen?
Also when I use Access 2007 to open an Access 2003 database that has
custom menu bars they display as they did in Access...

Hi! I'm new to VB.net programming on printing a page to a thermal printer (Epson T88IV). I really had a hard time figuring out how to code the printing of a bitmap image and some text, while sending commands (through font control) to the printer.
I tried sending the escape characters with Control font, but the Graphics.DrawString of PrintPageEventArgs do not allow it.. so I used the RawPrinterHelper class I found on Microsoft KB. It worked out...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
