Hello Gurus,
I want to save the state of an unbound DataGridView on my Windows Form
application to an XML file so i can later load it back..
Basically, on my form I have a DataGridView, it's got some
DataGridViewTextBoxCell, DataGridViewComboBoxCell etc, i want to export all
that to XML..
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I add a user control (a simple textbox control) to customize
datagridview column to test how to add user control to datagridview. I
found a weired behavior. I can not input "q", "!", "#".
But I can input other keys (e.g. "Q", "@", "W")
Anybody found this question? It looks like the textbox eat the input
'q' and does not show up in the text.

I have a DataGridView which displays numeric (Int32) data from an underlying
database. I want the numbers to be displayed in numeric format "#,###"
(with commas). I want to also limit the user so they can only input
numerical values. Is there any way to do this? Currently my formatting
works but if the user enters a value manually the formatting is not applied
to the new value. Also I haven't found a way to allow only numerical input....

Hi All :)
I'm converting VB6 using True DBGrid Pro 8.0 to VB2005 using DataGridView.
True DBGrid has a MultipleLines property that controls whether individual
records span multiple lines. Is there an equivalent property for the
DataGridView? I have searched, but have not found one.
I would like the user to be able to see all the columns of the table on one
screen - thus eliminating the need to use the horizontal scroll bar to view...

I have a DataGridView bound to a collection of Custom Objects. I have
enabled adding new rows, but since my object does not have a public
constructor (it uses a factory method), I get an error when I attempt to
enter the new row. My guess is that I need to override some method so that I
can create the object for the grid. But for the life of me, and I can't find
it. Can someone point me in the right direction?

The issue i'm having is after i enter all my data into my gridview's
textboxes and dropdownlists the data wont stick. My object data source dumps
to a class but after the update the grid should read from the class as well.
After the update button is clicked all the data passes through the class

My current headache is proper is with the datagridview
I am starting to realize that a DataGridView within vs2008 is not as
'robust' as a 'textboxfield' by default for example.
Example: A Textbox field can have masking, you can add easy validation and
so on.
Just adding a dummy datagridview to a form, databounding it, and allowing
editing works - but is not dummy proof.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
