Hi All,
I'm trying to find the best way to select an item in a ListView using the
Virtual mode. My "items" are business classes, and I have a reference to
once I want to select (passed from another dialog). One way is to spin
through the items and compare the .Tag property to my business object (code
below), however I fear the casts are probably costly (there could be a lot
of servers). I also thought about spinning through the servers...

Hi!
sometime ago, a friend show me that in BC++ you could add an objet to each
element of a listview. Now I wnat to know if it is possible to do this on
VB.net 2005.
I've a collection of objects and show some of their properties on the
listview, if I could attach the object to each file of the listview it'll
be easier.

I have a ListView that I've loaded with stuff but it would be useful to
be able to view these items as
(a) the complete list,
(b) a subset that matches a given criteria, or
(c) the complementary subset that doesn't match the criteria.

operation seems to be quite fast, but when I call Controls.Add(list),
where list is my ListView control, then program hangs for minute. It seems
