Hi,
Which newsgroup should I post my questions related to Team Foundation Server
2008?
Thank you,
Max 2 1057
For UseNet, most are posting to microsoft.publi c.vsnet.enterpr ise.tools
If you are fine with a web client, there are forums you can use for all of
your Team System questions: http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/def...pID=5&SiteID=1

Hi Max,
As Gregory mentioned, there is now dedicated group for TFS in MSDN forums.
Also , in UseNet NNTP newsgroup, though there is no dedicated groups, you
can post questions in some Visual Studio or IDE related groups.

In playing around with pygtk and Xcursor I found myself wanting to add
methods to an extension class, gtk.gdk.Window; I found I couldn't.
Next, I thought maybe there was a way to pose-as gtk.gdk.Window, but
after a couple of hours of tinkering I caved in and appeal to you: is
it possible to pose-as an extension class?

On the first conference day of PyCon after lunch there is going to be a
discussion panel for Python-Dev (see
http://us.pycon.org/apps07/schedule/ for the schedule). It is going to
be moderated by Steve Holden and is slated to have myself (Brett
Cannon), Andrew Kuchling (AMK), Neal Norwitz, and Jeremy Hylton on the
panel.
But in order to make the panel a success we need some questions. We
will have a portion of time open to questions...

I am trying to open a text file designated by the user.
Then I want to change all lower case values to capital letters.
Then write file.
I am stuck and can not change the characters or am not writing
correctly.
Please let me know what I can do to fix this.

When will I be able to buy the upgrade from vs 2003 pro to vs 2008 pro?
I don't have an msdn subscription.
Also I was going to use the trial version of vs 2008 in the interim but
vs 2008 pro trial is not released yet. Does anyone know when it will be?

I'm having a hard time finding any real code for pose tracking.
For those of you not in the know, pose tracking is getting an image, mostly from a webcam or some equivalent, and scanning it to find maybe an object or a face or something to that extent, and calculating how far away it is, exactly.
I've been tasked with doing some of this, and i've found several whitepapers that talk a lot about what it should have, etc. but I was hoping...

I'm a MSDN subscriber and a Microsoft rep used to answer my questions
here in about 24 hours. But the last time I know someone from Microsoft
answered a question I posted here was on 4/21 when Steven Cheng answered
a question. Has something gone wrong with my subscription. As far as I
can see it's active.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
