I am using the PropertyGrid and I have set the SelectedObject property to
an instance of my custom class. One of the properties of the custom class
is a bitmap.
The PropertyGrid lets me assign a bitmap ok, but when I want to delete it,
I cannot do it.
For example, in Visual Studio when you set the background image for a form,
you can highlight it and press delete to clear the property. But for my
own class and the PropertyGrid, it...

I have a situation where I want to show a property when one object is selected in a PropertyGrid, but I want to hide that property when more than one object is selected. For example, lets say I have an object with a Name property that must be unique. If one of these objects is selected by a PropertyGrid, then I want to show the Name property in the PropertyGrid so the user can change the object's name. But, if more than one of these objects...

The propertygrid is a great control, but I would like to show a more
descriptive text for the properties in the control. I tried to find a
solution within the system.componentmodel but did not succeed.
As far as I know I can only show the user the property name I use in my
class, like "cubic_inches". I would like the user to see something like
"Cylinder cubic inches".
Is it in any way possible to associate a text to the name of the...

Using VS2005, is the a simple method to hide or show a property within a
propertygrid based upon the changing value of another property within the
propertygrid.
For example, if I change a boolean property to true then I'd like to show a
second property that only applies when the first property is true.

Hi all,
I'm trying to use a property grid, and what I'm trying to do seems to
really elude me. I've been using the property grid for a short period
of time, and this is the first thing I haven't been able to do.
I have some products... like t-shirts... and these products have
particular property / value pairs. I'd like the property grid to look
like this:

Hi all,
how can I hide a property in a derived class in a propertygrid.
Let's say I have a classX and a derived classY. A property in classX will be
visible in the propertygrid but the same property in the derived classY will
not be visible in the propertygrid.
Does anyone know how to do this ?

If I create a UserControl that inherits from, say, Panel, and I do not want
my UserControl to have a property that it inherits from Panel. How can I
remove it.
For example, I might not want by control to have a BackColor property even
though it inherited that property from Panel.
Thanks

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
