It seems I haven't uninstalled in the right sequnce ... causing all the
problems.

Is there any sort of check that can be done to see if a particular instance
of SQL Server is present? I already call a method to check for connection --
if no connection, I have the user re-enter server settings (server name and
database name). But the connection check is made by calling for a scalar
value in the database. What I'd rather do is graduate the error messages:
1. No server installed
2. Specified database name not installed...

Hello.
Is there a possibility to use SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition with Visual C#
2005 Exoress Edition. I'm thinking about easy way (drag and drop) to build
database application using embedded database file in graphical way - the
same like building application connected to SQL Server 2005 Express? I found
an info that it is possible only in Visual Studio versions starting from
Standard version. Is that true?
Thanks,
Marcin.

I was able to view table content easily before, but after I
reinstalled everything, I cannot find the option to view table content
in MS SQL Server Express. I can define table with no problem. Check
out the screen snapshot below, from which you'll see that the popup
menu frrom right-clicking on the table name does not have the "Open
table" option. What is going on?

Hi,
I have written a WinForm app using VS 2008. The app uses LINQ to SQL for a
SQL Server Compact Edition database. The Setup has only one requirement (by
default): .net 3.5 runtime.
Now I got a notice from a colleague of mine, reporting problems with running
my app on Windows XP, SP 2, .net 3.5 runtime installed. This machine doesn't
have any binaries of the Visual Studio environment installed, just plain
..net 3.5.

First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
