Im using an xsl transformation so its not practical to use controls in the
usual way, but I would still like to call methods in my codebehind class.
usually Id just use onclick="<eventHandler>" say for something like a button
control
is there a way to manually call a method defined in a codebehind class, but
is not called by a standard control? I looked at the __doPostBack() function
that .net generates but it seemed impenetrable.

Hello. All I want to do is have my web app display a page with an
animated gif on it. After a certain timespan, I want that page to
redirect the user to another page. So, in effect, I can display a
progress bar of sorts. The problem is that timers don't work for this,
nor do custom events. I'm guessing that if I manually forced a
postback, I could catch that in the Page_Load method and do the
redirect there. I'm using c#. Thank you.

Hi, I'm wondering how I can generate a postback using javascript on a page
that does not have any controls with the auto-postback property set to true.
I know I can just use the submit() function but this triggers page
validation which I do not want. What I'm trying to do is dynamically write
in a hyperlink that when clicked will remove an item from the form, so I
don't want any validation to occur because the form isn't being submitted at...

diasable to DropDownBox before I press a button to do the post back. So..
the DropDownBox has Value 2 but it manually disabled by me..

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
