I would like to be able to add environment symbols to the Microsoft XP
registry. I tried the example in the Python Cookbook by Orielly by
running the script locally and it worked fine. Although I noticed
that even though the symbol showed immediatedly in the registry by
viewing with regedit but not via a new dos command console, thus, I am
forced to reboot to make it 'lock in'. Is this normal?
My wish is to have the script invoked in...

I'm new to C++ development and I'm trying out figure out the cause of

We are using ASCII-Tablespaces with the Codepage 819 on z/OS. We're now
having a problem with the EURO symbol. The data is inserted from a
Windows-Client, running Codepage 1252. The Euro symbol is not part of
the Codepage 819 which leads to a converting of the Euro Symbol to
hex(1A) in the Database. On the Client, hex(1A) is returned which is
different from the send hex(80).
Is there any other codepage which is similar to Codepage 819, but...

I am trying to build a DLL in VS.NET 2003 and it works fine in Debug mode.
However, if I try to build it in Release mode, I get the following link
error in several .obj files:
error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol __HUGE
I searched Google but could not find any information related to this. I have
no references to this symbol in my code. Any ideas?

Hi,
I have a char* string where I assigned a string literal with the British
pound symbol, which is included in the extended ASCII, at least on my OS.
However, when I cout the string, I get a modified u in place of the pound
symbol. Why is that? If I output the ASCII code of the pound symbol it
outputs just fine--but not when in a char*.

Hi all,
I can not install CF 2.0 SP 1 on an Symbol PPT8800 running WinCE 4.2.
The Install-Log say's cgacutil.exe failed with exit-code 80000004 and I get
a messagebox indicating a support-Info '3'. This would mean I would not have
enough space on my device. But I hard-reseted it befor I tryed to install and
I have no other processes running while installing.

LNK1120 is a standard C++ error. you using Visual C++? Means your
references a class that doesnt exist or something similiar to that.
