I was running into a problem with the DataGridView while binding it to an
object Collection. I got it working and I thought others might like to know
how.
-------------- Problem -------------
The grid was bound to a simple object collection. The object contained
string and decimal properties, nothing to fancy. When an item was added to
the collection I would databind as follows (this happened on each item
"Add"):

I hope someone can shed some light on an error I've been experiencing for
sometime now, but can no longer continue to ignore :-(
I've created a custom entity class which implements IEditableObject. I have
then created a custom collection for this custom entity which naturally
inherits CollectionBase and implements IBindingList.
When I bind my custom collection to a DataGridView and started editing, it
works correctly only up to the...

I'm having difficulty with populating a DataGridView control with data
correctly. It works with a single class, for example...
class MyClass
{
private string _propertyOne;
private string _propertyTwo;
public string PropertyOne { get { return this._propertyOne; } }

Hello all!
I found a solution to my original question, but there's still so much I don't understand about it, I thought I'd give this forum a try. At the very least, maybe it will help someone else who got stumped like I did.
It seems so simple... binding a DataGridView to a List<T>. These are the two general problems that I kept running into:
(1) When the data in the list updated, the data on the screen did not update.
(2) When I...

Hi,
When I bind a BindingList<to a DataGridView and then call RemoveAt(n) on
it, I get ArgumentOutOfRange. Could someone explain why?
Sample:
public partial class TestForm2 : Form
{
private BindingList<Person_personList = new BindingList<Person>();

Marc,
Thank you very much. I have issue on implementing add row properly using
this.
User presses down arrow in last row in grid starting adding new row.
Then user changes its mind desiding that new row should not added and
presses up arrow.
DataGridView does not show this unfinished row anymore.

Hello:
I am binding a DataGridView with a BindingList<T>, where T is a custom
business object that implements INotifyPropertyChanged.
When you bind a DataGridView to a DataTable, it has this cool little
feature - it will not call DataTable.Rows.Add until after you leave
the DataGridView row. This is cool because it lets your user edit the
record as much as needed to get it into a valid state before actually
adding it to the DataTable.

I'm a newbie to c#, so bear with me.
I'm trying to get data into from a DataReader, put it into a
BindingList that is bound into a DataGridView. My code is:
BindingList<stringbl = new BindingList<string>();
BindingSource bs = new BindingSource();
DataGridView dgv = new DataGridView();
load_list()// method that loads the list using the DataReader

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
