Hi
I just want to be sure I understand how the Access client works. If I have
an Access back end with a million records on a server and an Access client.
If the client is installed on the users pc and run by the user...does Access
drag the whole million records across the LAN when we call up one record ie
filters for that record locally? If the client is on the same server as the
back end, and the user starts up the client on the server...

I recently stumbled across a pretty interesting LINQ to SQL question and
wonder, whether anybody might have an answer. (I'm doing quite some
increasing LINQ evangelism down here in Germany.).
Assume I want to select rows from a database and check whether a specific
column contains keywords from a list of keywords. The following works just
fine:

Can I use LINQ in VB .Net 2008 to get to a Visual FoxPro Table? I've
seen demos of it with SQL Server but they've used it with a server

I am using a combination of LINQ to SQL and bulk insert. In the
process of performing 'one unit of work' I will be doing things like
reading, and deleting records using LINQ to SQL and then inserting new
records using bulk insert.
One problem I am having is trying to use a 'transaction' to wrap
around the whole thing.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
