In Linq, you can apparently get a meaningful body from and
expression's .ToString(); random question - does anybody know if linq
also includes a parser? It just seemed it might be a handy way to
write a safe but easy implementation (i.e. no codedom) for an
IBindingListView.Filter (by compiling to a Predicate<T>).
Anybody know if this is possible at all?

wonder, whether anybody might have an answer. (I'm doing quite some
increasing LINQ evangelism down here in Germany.).

Hi,
This is what I want to achieve:
I hav a lookup-form used by different parent forms to present a
database table. So form X uses the lookup to search table tblA, form Y
uses the lookup to search tblB.
The data in the lookup form is fetched using a linq to sql context
class and its containing object, so each parent form should pass the

We’re storing our main entity in an insert only table which stores the
history of past revisions, but we’re facing problems with storing this
history as LINQ will only update the entity, and not reinsert it with a
different revision number.
Compounding the issue, we’ve also got an associated table storing properties
